  • Improtheater Workshops Storytelling
When is a plot a plot? Ingredients for a good story

This workshop is designed to free the participants’ ability to tell stories spontaneously. We will deal with the following questions:

  • Which story wants to be told at this moment?
  • How do you gain access to your own ability to tell stories?
  • How do you work with the ‚frame of expectations’?
  • How do you find interesting plots and how do you interweave them?
  • Which characters does the story need?

Simple, linear patterns of narration will be the starting point. From there we will move on to more complex and multidimensional storytelling. Points of reference are Keith Johnstone, Randy Dixon, Christoph Vogeler, Joseph Campbell and others. Stories will not only be told, but also enacted on the stage.
